TREES ARE COMING TO

We are excited to announce that we are planning to to plant at least 600 trees in the Highland Park neighborhood! Starting in November, we will begin planting with the help of volunteers.

Locate your home on the map below. If there is a marker in front of your home, expect a Chattanooga Tree Project employee to be stopping by over the next few weeks to talk about it with you.

Our goal is to get native and naturalized species (full list here) planted in the right-of-way strip between the sidewalk and road. We hope that with our help, these trees will grow enough to provide shade for residents to walk through the neighborhood constantly under a tree canopy.

Note: All residents have an opportunity to opt out of a tree being planted in the right-of-way section in front of their home. Please let staff know that you are not interested during their visit to your home. All residents homes will be approached 3 different times until they are reached, once in the afternoon during the week, once during the week after work hours (after 5pm), and once on a weekend. If you are unable to be reached, we will try a different means of communication. If we are unable to get in contact with you, a tree WILL BE planted.
